Gramin Adivasi Samaj Vikas Sansthan (GASVS) was registered as a NGO in 1991. The main aim was to address the inter-related issues of education, health and livelihood confronting the vulnerable people living in the backward villages. The organization works to empower these sections of society through sustainable management of resources for their overall development. It also seeks to mainstream the members of these communities through quality education.

Our journey
GASVS started in 1993 by providing vocational training to young women in stitching and craft as well as a crèche for children in 05 villages of Sausar block of Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh.
From 1995 onwards GASVS has implemented various programs such as
educational opportunities for tribal children supported by CRY – Mumbai; treated 70 acres of land with soil and water conservation techniques with the support of OXFAM – India trust; HIV & AIDS awareness programs and interventions were held for truck drivers plying on NH:69 and programs for FSWs (female sex workers); reproductive child health...
